Technicaly I'm late (by a few hours, woo) uploading this but I don't care. Wanted to make sure the person it's for got to see it first.
A little valantines day special gift for a friend of mine.

Yep it's the first full done digital pic (of mine) of Soia and Tamalyn of 's Truedragon. Done mostly because she's been waiting for months for me to get around to finishing one and it's rather well deserved by now. Was a little poem to go with it to but to be perfectly honest I don't find anything artsy about my poems so I'm not going to bother posting it here.

And now for the whinge session... I really don't like how this turned out... At least compaired to how it started. As is probably visable I was experimenting with some new techniques... I definatly think I'm going to stick to my usual style as this came up as... Well... Sub par. I'd be happy if I just got that damn mouth to look right but several hours of playing with it and thats about as good as it got before i decided to give up and move on with the pic. Very interested in taking advice on this pic if anyone has any. I could certainly use it... And I defantly need more practice... Must get better! Back to my old style tommorow. With any luck I think I'll deem that submision a bit more impressive. Either way turns out suitable enough for the person it's intended for. That my goal achieved. I think I can be satisfied with that.

Now that's a touching drawing :) Why didn't you post the poem that goes with it? Anyone not interested could skip it.

Anyhow, now you see, that's MUCH BETTER without a backgruond :D Hehe, don't mind me, being an ass as usual! But for a real advice, I am not sure why, but I find the whole coloring kinda blur, I do not know if you saved progress of your work, but try to check that and pratice some more... I don't know what else to say. You are maybe right, you just need some practice. And a good way to do that is open this one a couple of weeks from now and try it again, you'll see your own work in a whole new way. ;)
